Business system integrations

Connect the data and actions that currently depend on someone copying information between tools.

  • Direct with the developer
  • Scope and price agreed in writing
  • Start by email — no call required

WHEN THIS IS USEFUL

A good fit for this kind of task.

  • The same information is entered into several programs.
  • Orders, catalogue or stock data need to move between systems.
  • An integration needs clear failure handling and control.
01

Check what each system allows

I review API documentation, import and export formats, authentication and access. An integration is confirmed only after these constraints have been checked.

02

Define the source of truth

We decide which system owns each piece of information, what can overwrite it and how duplicates or conflicts are handled. That prevents two disconnected versions of the same record.

03

Plan for failure as well as success

A useful connection needs to make errors visible and support controlled retries. Acceptance tests should include unavailable services, rejected records and repeated requests, where relevant.

SELECTED WORK

Real projects. Practical business workflows.

Two examples of custom development for wholesale businesses. Explore the task, the system and the decisions behind it.

BEFORE WE START

A few practical questions.

Do I have to replace my existing software?

I first check its API and import or export options. The aim may be to connect your current tools. If a required process or data access is unavailable, I explain that limitation before confirming the scope.

How much will the project cost?

The price depends on the scope, content, data and systems involved. After reviewing the task, I propose a defined first phase with a written price. Additional work is agreed separately.

How is the delivery schedule agreed?

We define the first release and check dependencies, access and content before agreeing a schedule. I do not promise the same deadline for every website or business system.

Do we need to start with a call?

No. We can use email, a written brief, prototypes and screen recordings with subtitles. You can review them when it suits you.

Who owns the finished product?

The agreed code, access and instructions are handed over to you. Any third-party services, licences or ongoing costs are identified in the scope.

How does payment work?

The payment method, currency and schedule are confirmed in the written proposal before work starts. No payment is collected on this website.

Can you help after launch?

Yes, support and further development can be agreed as a separate scope. We can expand the working product in phases rather than decide every future feature before launch.

LET’S BUILD SOMETHING USEFUL

What would you like to build or improve?

Tell me about the business, the task and what you would like to change. I’ll reply by email with questions or a practical next step.
